NICHOLS LfLss Linda Ersie Wright of Green wood, S. C,, and John James Nichols of Rochester, N, Y., exchanged nuptial vows Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Highlands Jfethodist Church. The bride*s parents are Mr. and Jfrs, Chester Nicholas Wright of 22U McGhee Ave. in Greenwood. Having attended Win- throp College for two years, she is now a student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. The groom, who attended the Univer sity also, is the son of Mr. and J&’s. James John Nichols of 10 Rosedale St. in Rochester. The newlyweds will make their home in Knoxville, when they return from a trip through the mountains. The bride’s dress of silk organza and venise lace was accented by an Empire bodice and watteau, chapel-length train. Her attendants wore mint dotted Swiss dresses with Empire waistlines. Ifrs. Charles Neill Eley Jr. of Knox ville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jane Nichols of Rochester and Miss Carolyn Walker of Winter Park, Fla, The groom*s attendants were Philip Natale of Rochester, Sam Dicarlo and Charles Eley of Knoxville. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. William B. Penny, l^sicians were Mrs. Robert Dupree, organist, and Doyle Cal loway, soloist. (CON*T ON PAGE 18 ) COMMUNITY THEATRE CITES FIRST PLAY Highlands Community Theatre has announced their first scheduled play to be “Never Too Late", a comedy by Sumner Arthur Long. The show dates will be July 6-9, with the tryouts tak ing place this Friday, June l6, at 7s30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the theatre. There will be nine roles included in the play. Further information concerning the auditions may be obtained at the theatre office from the hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. G. Sam Sanfilippo is the newly ap pointed director of the Highlands Com munity Theatre, and arrived here several weeks ago with other members of his production team. I'fr. Sanfilippo will be more than happy to discuss the needs of the theatre for this season as per tains to volunteer help. He emphasized that there is a job for every person of every age, if he wishes to have the satisfaction of dipping his hands into the fascinating world of theatre— whether it be by getting paint smeared hands or by reading for various roles. There has been a lot of activity going on at the theatre lately with painting and hammering progressing for the first play.
