Agnes Burnette Talley, 82, who died Sat urday, The Rev. Edgar Ci^ens, the Rev, Mack Reed and the Rev. Harvey Stewart offici ated in the Clear Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the Ifecedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Radford, Lambert, Arthur, Riley and Douglas Iklley and Estus Oiiens. ^frs. Talley was a lifelong resident of Macon County. She had been a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church for 60 years, where she taught Sunday School and was secretary of the church. She was retired Postmistress of the Satolah, Ga., Post Office after 30 years of service. Surviving are a son, Harvey I^lley of Highlands; a daughter, Ifrs. Blanche Wilson of Espanola, i\%w Mexico; two bro thers, Ifershall of Scaly Mountain and Johnny Burnette of Highlands; four grand children and eight great-grandchildren. Se.concl AnrwLaJL hcushjjon Show The second annual Highlands-Cashiers Hospital Benefit Dinner and Fashion Show will be held August 13th at King*s Inn. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. The Fashion Show by ¥b.tj Norton will begin at 8s30 p.m. Donations (which are com pletely deductible) include Dinner and Fashion Show. j%ke reservations now at 526-2161. HALL ADDRESSES ROTARY Michael Hall, the new director of the Highlands Community Theatre, ad dressed Rotary at 4s weekly meeting l\iesday. His subject, of course, was the Highlands Community Theatre, which opens for its 30th season Tliursday, July 17th and runs until Labor Ifey. M:. Hall is a 1962 graduate of Carnegie Tech idth a BFA in Drama. He is also the Director of the i^hrion Play ers, Ocala, Florida, and is first Vice- President of the Florida 'Eieatre Confer ence. He is enthusiastic about the coming season in Highlands and invites everyone, both adult and teenager, who would like to participate in the theatre in arsY way to contact him. Ihere were l6 members, l6 visiting Rotarians, and 2 guests at Tuesday»s meeting. President Laskey reminds all Rotar ians of the Annual Club Assembly meeting on July 29th, which will be climaxed by an address by District Governor Jesse Chapman. He also requests that any com mittee chairman who has not yet turned in his annual report to contact him at once. Highlands Rotary meets in the Ban quet Hall of the Highlander Restaurant.
