1, THE GaIAX Mi-JS JULI THEATRE TO HAVE PAINT--IN SAT. The Highlands Conrnnmity Iheatre has scheduled a "paint-in" for adults and teenagers Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Theatre Building. Purpose of the "paint-in” is to paint and redecor ate the interior of the playhouse. Res idents and summer visitors are invited to come in old clothes and bring paint brushes. Everyone is welcome. The Theatre Staff, under the direc tion of Mike Hall, has completed the lobby refurnishing and ifill now tackle the auditorium and outside walk. Parents who wish to bring their teenagers to the "paint-in'* are asked to pick them up by 1^:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Anyone who cannot do physi cal labor, but wants to help with the civic events, may bring refreshments for the workers. Ebnations af paint and brushes will also be appreciated. Following the morning worship this 2lt, 1969 PAGE 13 Sunday, July 27, a felloi-rship lunch will be served in the fellowship hall of the chiorch. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. Each family is requested to bring picnic supplies or a covered dish. Those visitors who are unable to prepare food are especially invited to attend, for there will be plenty of food. Adult Choir continues to meet on Friday evenings at 7 P*ni. Children’s Choir convenes on Saturdays at 3 p.m. Visitors welcome to both groups. Allen Still To Speak Allen Still, owner of the Blue Ridge Pharmacy in Highlands, will speak !I\iesday evening, July 295 at 8 p.m. at the Miseum of Natural History. The lec ture, entitled "Pharmacognosy of South ern Plants," deals with the drugs which are derived from plants, ^ny residents will be surprised by the flora which have both helpful and toxic effects on the human body. Still and his wife, Iferilyn, both earned B.S. degrees in Pharmacy from Sfemford University, Birmingham, Alabama. Still purchased the Blue Ridge Pharmacy on June 1, 1968; he is a member of the Retail Drug Association and the American Pharmaceutical Associ ation. All vis it CO’S welcome.
