The attend ants’ pink, floor-length gowns were styled with empire waistlines of linen- lined chiffon* Hot pink satin ribbon framed the high neckline, and formed a lavish bow at the nape of the neck. Hot pink embroidery accented the brief sleeves and formed parallel lines of grace from the bodice to the hemline, down the front of the goxm. The head pieces of pink net were encircled with delicately pleated hot pink taffeta. Bridesmaids were J£ss Ifertha Vinson, sister of the groom, and Miss linda M3- Kinney, cousin of the bride. Friends of the bride who also served as bridesmaids were MLss Donna lanier, I^ss Soozie Rob erts, Mlss J'krgaret Hayes, and Miss Joan Gleer. The bridesmaids* gowns were iden tical to those of the honor attendants. Little ]^5iss lea Ann Sweat of Char lottesville, Virginia, served as flower girl in a miniatiire pink gmn similar to those worn by the bridesmaids. Jes ter Robbie Anderson, the bride’s young cousin, carried the rings upon a pillow of white satin. The best man was Jim Luna, uncle of the groom, of Flint, Mchigan. Sher man Lmna, also of Flint, served his nephew as an usher, along i/ith the bride’s brother, Charles Roper, and her uncle, Calvin ilnderson, and cousin C. P. Potts. Other ushers were John Houston, Leslie Lanier, and David Boh- ler. Wedding music was provided by Miss Gloria Re vis at the organ, and by the bride’s aunt, Ifrs. Calvin Anderson, who sang "Because” and "'Ihe Wedding Prayer", The sanctuary was appointed for the ceremor^ i-jith tiered candelabra of white tapers, entwined with fresh daisies and fern, while baskets of white flenders, gladiola, pom pom mums, and daisies, flanked the altar. The mother of the bride wore a short-sleeved aqua afternoon frock with rhinestone and pearl embroidered collar. Her hat gracefully accented her face and was fashioned of pleated aqua organza, sprinkled with delicate self-fabric pet als. More petals formed a cascade of color from the crown to her shoulder, and her costume was completed by a cor sage of yellow Qjrmbidium orchids. The mother of the groom wore a sheath and afternoon coat of lemon yel- loi7, with sleeves of three-quarter length decorated with silver-beaded, floifered embroidery.
