In all cases Ifetins is read at 1^ minutes before the hour, and on Thursdays the service is followed by an adult class, PARISH SUPPER A Parish Supper will be served at 6:30 this Monday, July 28, at $1.2^ a plate in the Felloi'Tship Hall. The after-dinner program, in the church, will feature an unusual motion picture produced by lyjr. I/alter Resce, of High lands and Rainboxir Pictures, Miami. YOUTH PICNIC The youth of the parish should gather at the church this Sunday after noon, July 27, at U o’clock to go to a swim-picnic event at the lake on the property of Me*, and Mrs, Overton Cham bers, Transportation will be provided. JUNIOR CHOIR Our Junior Choir meets in the Ron- dette at 10 a.m. on Rr'iday mornings, under the direction of Hrs. J. Russell Garvin. All interested youngsters will be gladly welcomed. Phillies Overwhelm Pirates For Initial Victory 19-6 King’s Inn Phillies demonstrated what is possible through perseverance and practice by defeating the Perry Agency Pirates last Saturday in a makeup game. Though the game was late in start ing due to the installation of a new fence, the Phillies were not to be de terred. They immediately took coimnand and eventually widened their lead to 19-1. The Pirates tried valiantly to rally and did manage to score 7 runs, but the margin was too great. They will be out for revenge as the txiro rivals meet again this week. Player-of-the-Week honors for July II4-I9 go to Don Keener, son of and I^s. John Keener of Flat Mountain. Al ways watchful to how his team may be improved, as catcher Don’s sharp eye and good spirit have worked to help some of the younger boys with their mis takes. His performance both catching and batting was a key factor in Highlands P.T.A. Cards* twin victories over the Pirates last week. His impressive bat ting record included ^ hits in 9 at bats, 6 runs, and 5 RBI's. Ti^jo hits went for home runs and one for a double. One of the home runs was a grand slam.
