THE GAIAX NH'/S JUNE 17.1971 R\GE 13 LEE CORN DIES SCENES OF BEAUTY Lee Corn, 91> of the liilberry conmiunity, Franklin, N.C., died Thursday, June 10 , in a Franklin hospital after a week’s illness. He was a retired miner, farmer, and a lifelong resident of I'kcon County. Surviving are five daughters, I^s, Virgie Crunkleton of Highlands, Mss Bessie River Lake Subdivision is going Corn of Dougfax, Va., I'^rs. Bertie Holt of "all out” this year in its annual display Colonial Heights, Va., iVIrs. Bonnie Dean of azalea. His work is more colorful and profuse than it has been in several years past. It is truly a delight to human ej^'es. children. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the the Mulbery United Jfethodist Church, of which he was a mem ber. The Reverends John Forester, pastor, and Earl Dendy officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Grandsons were pallbearers. DOCTOR R. DAVID DANIEL - HOSPITALIZED The many friends of Dr. David Ifeniel will regret to learn that he is a patient in the C. J. Harris Community Hospital, Sylva, following a heart attack. Another experience that should not be missed is a drive to Cashiers along U.S. Highway 6ii. The extremely heavy bloom of mountain laurel has turned the hillsides pink.
