Jr., a member ot the 1955 graduating class, came to Atlantic Christian OoUcge in the fall of 1952, after having attended the University of North CadXklina for one year. During his sofiKHnore year he was very active on the campus. He served as chairman wor- •hip on the Student Christian As sociation Cal^net and also became a very active roemi>er of the Stage and Script Dramatic Club. It was during this year that he JAMES HEMBY became associated with the Phi Kappa Alpha FVatemity. Serving as a member of the Men's Quartet was also one of his extracurricular activities. During his junior year his big gest responsibility was that of edi- tor-in-chief of the COLLEGIATE. Alao he was a member of the Mixed Chorus and to(A an active interest in Stage and Script. He portrayed one of tlie leading roles in the fall play, "Idiot’s Delight." In April, be was tapped into the Golden Knot Honor Society. Mary Hadge has bet-n selected as this year's chief marshal and will serve in this capacity with the following six honor students: Er nestine Mozingo and itichard Zig- lar, junior class; Mary E^Uen Cor bett and WUlis Batts, sophomore class; and Kathryn Butt and Clyde McG^ Creech, freshman Class. As well as being an excellent scholar, Mary Hadge has shown outstanding ability in many phases of activities on campu.'i. Recently elected treasurer of the State Future Teachers Association, Ernestine Mozingo, in her few years at AC has displayed much thought and ener^ in her various activities. Ernestine is an English major and plans to complete work for her degree in three years. She is a menrtber of Delta Sigma sorori ty, where she serves as t»sketbaU captain, bringing to AC her fine athletic ability di^ayed in high school. Besides being on the COL- LEXIIATE staff, Ernestine belongs to the Hesperian Club and is very active In campus >TA activities. From the <>ophomore class we have Mary Ellen Cortiett of Wii- son and Willis Batts of Rocky Mount: Mary EUlen, a transfer from Rollins college in Florida, has been very popular on campus this year as well as most vers^ in all her subjects. Daniell Assumes Position Mr. Jame^ D. Daniell of Bogart. Georgia, arrived at the college on April 1, to assume his position a.s Director of Public Relations, succeeding James E. Fulghum, who recently resigned to become associated with the Coastal Caro linian Pre ,s at Myrtle Beach, ,S<mth Carolina. A native of Oconee County, Geor gia, Mr. Daniril was graduated from ACC with the A. H. degree in 1948. He alao holds a Master's degree from the University of Georgia and has attended David son College. WhUe a studi-nt at ACC, Mr Daniell servi-d as president of the college student body In 1947-48 and also was captain of the basketball team. He is an outstanding basket ball coach in the state of Georgia and has been a member of the Bogart, Georgia, High school facul ty for the past six years. When asked about his new posi tion at the college Mr. Daniell said, "It is a long time dream come true. I have felt since being in school here at the college, that Wilson was my hocne.
