She also gives presentations on civil rights, med'and leadership in the 90’s to keep her father’s legacy alive. ADVICE COLUMN Don't be scared: Get tested DEAR ROXI, I am a happy go lucky person. I have a sometime relationship with a guy that I love. We are both sexually active with other people. When we are together we have unprotected sex. A month ago he told me he was HIV positive and to show him how much I love him, we are together as a couple and not just strangers in the night. Lately I have been having symptoms of illness. I think I now may have the HIV virus also but I am afraid to get tested. Can you tell me what to do or where to go to get help. Signed Afraid Dear Afraid, The only thingl can say is that you go to the local Health Department and get an anonymous HIV test and go every six months. This is your health, you need to look out for you, you still can live a normal life. DEAR ROXI, I think my friend’s boyfriend beats on her. I don’t want to bring the subject up around her, but I want to know if he does so she can get help, What do I do?
