Editorial Read or at least recyle You know it really bothers me each month when we distribute. The Bennett Banner, and in less than three hours later some are in the trash can. Not only is this finistrating but it is also disappointing that some students have no sense of value for their student newspaper. My staff, along with myself work long and hard hoxu^ to put out a paper for you monthly, covering stories that we may not want to do, but doing it because it is newsworthy and we think that the Bennett commimity may find it important. Not long ago we didn’t even have a paper that circulated on a regular basis. 1993-94 is the first year that we actually started getting on the ball and putting a paper out on a monthly schedule. It is a shame that some students take this for granted. I would like to stress that there is no feud with the freshwoman class and the AKA’s. They are our Bennett College sis ters and we love them.” Mosby informed the Banner staff, later that day that the freshwomen class would be permitted to have their party. Choir going to Zimbabwe (Continued from page 1) Some may argue or give excuses for throwing a paper out for reasons such as not having enough pictures, the ar ticles are too long, and the Kst goes on. Okay this is fine. You have a right to express your dislike, but write a letter to the editor, state your problem. Again, I am not addressing those students who read the paper and then later on throw them out. I am mainly targeting students who take the paper from their mailboxes and throw them directly away without even glancing at a headhne. If the Banner does not satisfy your news taste buds, don’t dump it in any trash bin. Find or build a newspaper recychng bin. At least then we the Ban ner staffers can make a difference in help ing mother earth.
