Mr. and Mrs. Tom Pittman spent Sunday with Mr. and Mr». Huston Tucker; Cleat Simmons is ill with good case of mumps. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Harris spent Sunday with Mrs. W. B. Harris. Miss Deanie Holcomb spent last Sunday with Miss Zoldean Emer son. Tom Parker has been transfer red from loom-fixing to warp making. We hope he enjoys it. Mrs. Mary Darnell is much im proved after an operation at the Hugh Chatham hospital. Marvin Mayberry says his “navy” is running much better. Rev, and Mrs. F. L. Walker, of Mountain Park, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Foy Walls. , We are glad to have Lucy Layell 1 back on the day shift. The many friends of Rema Day will be glad to know she is improving after an operation. The weavers who are making C. C. c. cloth say they hope the t>oys enjoy wearing the clothes as much as they enjoy making them. Haste Swaim is suffering with | an infected hand. We hope he ' will soon be able to return to work. Mrs. Mae Collins is ill at the Hugh Chatham hospital at this Writing. We wish her a speedy recovery.
