About thirty-five members and their guests enjoyed this de lightful occasion. Special guests included the baseball team of the Winston Mill, Mrs. Henry Trotter, Jr., Misses Earline Mayberry, Gypsy Smith- erman and Ava Lee Williajns acted as hostesses. The next meeting will be held at the home of Miss Mamie Dyer, 327 Gloria Avenue. This will be a business meeting for members only. BLANKETEERS BEAT LYNCHBURG (Continued Prom Page One) a shutout game. He fanned five and forced seven others to ground to him on the mound. Allowing only eight hits, he kept them scattered so as to retain control of the situation at all times. Mackie and Gough did the most damage for Chatham, each send ing three runners home. The former cracked out a homer and triple and the latter got a homer with two aboard. Trent got a triple and a single to lead the Shoemen at bat. The Blanketeers proved so pop ular with the Lynchburg fans who had been howling for a club that could decisively whip the Shoemen that their return for an other two games at Lynchburg sometime in July was arranged.
