On Firing Line
Don’t get excited! There’s no
fire yet, thank goodness. But in
the event of a fire, our bbys
want to be ready to lick it. The
above picture was made during
a fire drill and shows Dewey
Bums on the ladder and Herbert
Finck and Elmer Gevedon at the
top.
Standing in front of one of the
many Hydrant houses located at
strategic places around the
plant are Ernest Burch, left,
who is general inspector and D.
J. Luther, right, who is inspec
tor of the Fibre Warehouse.
These men make regular inspec
tions throughout the plant and
warehouses. The small build
ings are equipped with modern
fire-fighting tools.
Holding the large ^ hose, shown in the photo above, are Dewey
Burns and Elmeir Gevedon. The picture at ,the top right, shows
Inspector Burch with the gasoline fire pump and below is a view
of th^ electric fire pump.
