Woodrow W. Fisher, former Ecusta Pre-Wash er Helper who left here March 12, 1942, is now with a Station Hospital some where overseas. He was formerly stationed at Camp Grant, 111. Pfc, Fisher’s home is at Lake Toxaway. GALLOWAY Pvt. Freeman E. Galloway, an- Dther of our fight ing Marines, is somewhere in the South Pacific. He was previous ly employed in the Boiler Room of Ecusta as a Cleaner and went into the Marines in May of 1942. He was stationed at New River, N. C. BISHOP CpI. Ben H. Bishop, a former Ecusta Millwright second class, is now learning all about automatic weapons at Camp Adair, Oregon. Cpl. Bishop en tered the Army in Demember of 1942. His home is in Arden, N. C. % LAUGHTER Pfc. W. Harry Laughter, former Ecusta Pre-Wash er Operator who left for the Ar my in August of 1941, is in New Guinea. He has been stationed at Camp Croft, S. C. Camp Paraiso, Canal Zone; New Orleans, La.; and San Francisco, Calif. MOSIER Tech. CpL Jas. E. Mosier, Jr., former Ecusta Machine Tender, is now somewhere overseas. T./Cpl. Mosier left for the Army April 11, 1943. He has been stationed at Camp Myles Stan- d i s h, Taunton, Mass., and also at Boston, Mass. SCRUGGS Donald W. Scruggs, Seaman, Second Class, has completed h i s boot training and has been sent to Norfolk, Va. for further training. Before going into the Naval service, March 4, 1943, Seaman Scruggs was employed by Ecusta as a Box- maker. poote Pfc. ThomSs E. Poor, who has been in service since Sept. 1942, has been overseas since Feb. 1943, in the Ordnance Corps somewhere in Africa. He has been stationed at Camp Miles Stan- dish," Mass. Pfc. Poor was a mem ber of the Yard Crew. • BLACK Sgt. Gordon R. Black, who has been in Guadal canal, left there in February and is still somewhere in the Southwest Pacific. Sgt. Black was an Ecusta Machinist before he entered the Army in April of 1941. He receiv ed part of his training at Ft. Bragg. McCRARY Clifford Mc Crary, who is sta tioned at Camp Forest, Tennes see, is now a Technical Corp oral. He was pre viously employed as an Ecusta Backtender. He entered the ser- v i c e December 11, 1942 and was first sent to Camp Phillips, Kansas. BRANNON ALEXANDER BARTON Pfc. Fred G. Barton is with the. Army Engi neers in England. Before going in to service in May of 1942 Pfc. Bar ton was an Ecus ta Vacuum Wash er Operator. He was stationed at Camp Wheeler, Georgia, and was shipped overseas in August of this year. Pfc. Warren R. Alexander, form er Ecusta Vac uum Washer Op erator, is now stationed with the infantry at Camp Howze, Texas. Pfc. Alex ander left Ecusta for the service November 11, 1942. He was re cently married. HOLCOMBE Sgt. Charles E. Holcombe, form er Ecusta Inspec tor, is stationed at present with a bomb squadron at Rapid City, S. D. Since he left, October 16, 1942, he has been sta tioned at Miami Beach, Fla. and Lowry Field No. 2, Denver, Colo. Pvt. John Clif ford Brannon, a former member of the Ecusta Po lice Force left Nov. 27, 1942, is now overseas. He was stationed at Texarkana, Texas. His wife writes that while she was in Texarkana all the Brevard boys she talked to enjoyed the paper from home. GALLOWAY W. Hershel Galloway, Seaman First Class, is now overseas; he was stationed at the Armed Guard Center, South Brooklyn, N. Y. Before going in to Naval training Nov. 16, 1942 Seaman Galloway was an Ecusta Inspector. CLAYTON Pvt. Charlie Clayton, Jr., is with the Army Air Force at a basic training center at Fresno, California. Pvt. Clayton has been in the Army since January 5, of this year. Before en tering the service he was employed in Champagne Shipping. RIDDLE S-Sgt. J. Ellis Riddle, who has been stationed at the Air Corps Ba sic Flying Field, Greenville, Miss., is now an Avia tion Student sta tioned at Erskine College, Due West, S. C. Be fore entering the service May of 1941, he was a Wet Lap Helper at Ecusta. PRESSLEY Pvt. Leonard Pressley is in An ti-Aircraft train ing stationed at Camp Haan, Cal. He was former ly an employee of Ecusta, work ing in the Fibre Warehouse. H e entered the ser vice in Nov. of 1942. Pvt. Press ley has been sta tioned at Camp, McQuaide, Calif. ROBERTS Pvt. Walter H.
