Garden Plots Are
Again Available
The Company garden plots will
again be available to all empoy-
ees this year. As in the past, the
land will be prepared and plots
will be marked off for those who
desire to use them. If you wish
to use a company plot this year,
let your foreman know, or contact
Bob Bolt. Get your requests in
early!
Although the demand for food
will be less critical this coming
year, we should remember that our
gardens can be a great source of
fresh foods and can be of great rec
reational value as well. Home can
ning should be continued as in the
past.
The date for our Third Annual
Harvest Festival has been set ten
tatively for September 5th. This
year we intend to have a larger
show than ever, so get out those
new seed catalogs and start plan
ning. A few changes in the classi
fication lists have been considered
and more details will be announced

Served On Committee To
Present Industry’s Views
To Government
The Industrial Advisory com
mittee, which recently disbanded,
has presented a certificate to Pres
ident Harry H. Straus for his ser
vices to the Office of Price admin
istration.
In order to regulate prices in the
paper division of O. P. A., 21 top
executives in the thin paper in
dustry were selected to act as a
committee to present the indus
try’s views before final Govern
ment rction on price control in
this field.
Mr. Straus was chosen on this
committee because of his experi
ence and business judgment, and
his intimate knowledge of thin pa
pers.
It has been generally accepted
that price control in the paper in
dustry has been especially well
handled throughout the war emer
gency, and much credit has been
given to the Industrial Advisory
Committee for their faithfulness
and willingness to co-operate with
