TRY THIS DAILY DOZEN 1. A little patience at least once. 2. A minute of unselfishness. 3. A kind word—or two or three. 4. A bit of self control. 5. A flash of generosity. 6. A prompt excuse—for someone else. 7. A noble thought—per haps a text recalled. 8. A good deed—not left un done. 9. A brief prayer, for a friend in trouble. 10. A moment of thankful ness for blessings enjoyed. 11. A kindly smile—where it may brighten another. 12. A snatch of song—or hum of tune. PLAUT'S PHOTO WINS CLUB CONTEST The excellent photograph at the right made by Paul Plaut was named the winner in the Brevard Camera Club’s Christ mas contest. The attractive sub ject in Paul’s prize-winner is none other than Miriam Merrill, who was photographed quite often during the Christmas parties as one of Santa’s helpers. The mistletoe over Miriam’s head is self-explanatory, we’re sure. Lloyd Harris, another Camera Club member employed here, took second place with his shot "Christmas Bells,” while Vernon Fisher was third with an in teresting shot of two children relating their expectations to Santa Claus. The January 20th meeting of the club was held at the Plaut home. There are now 6,000 com panies issuing House Organs in Canada and the United States as compared to 1,000 before the war. The total circulation is fifty-three million. Under the auspices of the Brevard Camera Club, the First Annual Traveling Salon of "Popular Photography” Magazine, will be on display at the Library from February 4 to February 14. This is one of the many fine prints which will be displayed. "GREAT EXPECTATIONS" 9
