LOOSE ENDS (By Mary Sue Thorne) Now that Christmas is a month in the past we can look back and form a just and un biased opinion about it. We think it was one of the merriest ones we can recall. It seemed that everybody had the Christ mas spirit And as we devoured black eyed peas and hog jowel on New Year’s Day, we made a few resolutions, most of which we shall keep secret, so in case we break them others will be no wiser. But we re solved to make more Endless Belts during 1948 than have ever been made before. That we intend to make better ones goes without saying .... Inci dentally, Santa left us a whole flock of new machines. Opal Whitmire made a res olution to get married this year. And is she making progress! She already has a diamond! We think she is just playing safe in not telling who gave it to her, because a few dozen other girls have made the same res olution Betty Jean Bryson was married to Bill Heath of the U. S. Marines on Decem ber 26 and has resigned to live in Quantico, Va Endless has a partial claim on the first 1948 baby in the Ecusta family —that of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Allison. The baby arrived Jan uary 5 and is a fine boy. Mrs. Allison formerly worked in this department We extend our sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. L. W.
