E C E N T WE I N G Above, left, is Mrs. George Perkins, who before her mar riage recently was Miss Betty Margaret Aycock. Mrs. Perkins is a member of the Main Office staff and her father, J. F. Ay cock, is superintendent of the Storeroom. Upper right is Mr. and Mrs. Clyde G. Williams, both of whom are employed here. Mrs. Williams is in End less Belt and Mr. Williams is in Maintenance. Right below is Mr. and Mrs. Clyde C. Sum- mey. Mrs. Summey is the form er Miss Ruth Gillespie of Finishing and Mr. Summey is in Maintenance. SHUMAN-KERBER SCRUGGS-FLYNN Miss Mary Tressa Shuman of South Miami, Fla., and Frank lin Kerber of Brevard were mar ried February 14 at the First Methodist Church in South Mi ami. Mr. Kerber is employed in Applied Research and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kerber. Franklin’s father was his best man and his brother, Wayne, was an usher. Miss Doris Jean Scruggs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Scruggs, was married to John Thomas Flynn, Jr. Jan uary 24 at Clayton, Ga. The groom is employed on the Clean er Crew. CORRECTION In last month’s Echo on Page 10 Miss Mildred Frisbee of Finishing was listed as Mrs. William Ernest Strider. This should have been Mrs. Thurman Rogers. The Echo regrets this error and is happy to make the correction. Leap year began with Caesar in 46 B. C. when he revised the calendar to take care of the ap proximately one-fourth day which must be added to the full 365 days to make up a com plete year. Caesar decreed that this should be covered by add ing a day to the calendar every fourth year. 10
