MEET THE WIFE This month our "Meet the Wife” feature travels to Rosman to introduce Echo readers to Mrs. Dee Wilson, wife of Dee Wilson who is in Finishing Department Maintenance. Many Ecustans al ready know Mrs. Wilson for she was employed in the Inspection Department during the war years (September 28, 1942 until No vember 10, 1943). Before her marriage to Dee she was Christine Galloway. Pride and joy of the Wilson home is Jimmy, a three-year-old youngster who is a real boy. Mrs. Wilson’s talent as a seamstress is reflected in the cute and original clothes she makes for Jimmy and herself. Dee numbers himself among the more than 1,000 Five Year Service Club members, having been with us since September 11, 1941. It’s a girl for Mr. and Mrs. Vance F. Shook (Machine Room). Brenda Joyce was the attractive name chosen and the new arrival weighed 7 lbs., 6 ozs. when she was born Feb ruary 16. Mr. and Mrs. R. Glenn Hoxit (Landscape) announce the birth of Raymond Ronnie, a 6 lbs., 6 oz. boy who was born February 19 at the local hospital. Dorothy Ann Bryson, a new addition to the family of Mr. and Mrs. George Bryson (Finishing) weighed an even 8 lbs. when she arrived February 23. A big boy—James Darrell is the name—was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. Dewey Reese (Yard Crew) at the Patton Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville on February 26. The baby’s weight was 8 lbs., lOV^ oz. Another lusty yell in the ma ternity section of Patton Memo rial during the month belonged to Alan Wayne White, 7 lbs., 10 oz. boy born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence White (Machine Room). He made his debut on February 12—Lincoln’s birth day. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Bar ton (Yard Crew) are naturally quite proud of Elmer Lee, 6 lb., 12 oz., boy who arrived Feb ruary 25 at the Transylvania Community Hospital. It was a big month for boys —and David Frank Fowler is right in there with them. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fowl- Miss Miriam Merrill Married Miss Miriam Merrill of the Champagne Office and Walter L. Rice of Asheville were mar ried February 27 in Greenville, S. C. Mrs. Rice is a graduate of Brevard high school and Blan ton’s Business College. Mr. Rice attended Grace high school and served with the navy for two years. The bride has been very active in recreational activities of our company, having been a member of the girls’ sextette The couple will reside in Ashe ville. Miss Heygel Weds Mr. and Mrs. Paul Heygel an nounce the marriage of their daughter, Evelyn, to H. S. D’Ambrogio of Asheville on March 1 in Marshall. Evelyn was graduated from Lee Ed wards high school and attended Asheville-Biltmore college and the University of North Caro lina. The groom is a graduate of Rollins College and held the rank of lieutenant commander in World War II. Sharp Smith (Engineering Department) an nounce the birth of a daughter, Jo Ann, born March 12 at the Mission Hospital and weighing John Norman, Jr., office porter, and his wife are proud of little Adrath Virginia who was born February 22, weigh ing 6 lbs., 12 02.
