Camera Club Members Are Versatile
The fascinating thing about
photography is that the world
is your "beat”, as the term is
used in journalism, and what
ever catches your fancy is yours
for the snapping of the shutter.
Members of the Camera Club
here are characteristic of this
versatility of photographers. At
the right, Frank Ferrell, a com
parative new-comer to the field,
has taken a wonderful portrait
of his four year old daughter,
Betsy. Portraiture requires care
ful planning, good lighting, and
most of all a good subject which
Frank found without going out
of his house.
Below, Martha Sellers has giv
en us a good example of a
"chance” shot she ran across on
a hike. She has aptly titled it
"The Last Mile,” and judging
from the condition of the shoes,
a better name could not have
been chosen for the picture.
On Tuesday night, March 16,
the Club members went to Ashe
ville for a tour through the
Asheville Citizen-Times Engrav
ing Department.
