Traffic Manager Bob Johnson No more natural picture could have been taken of Bob Johnson, our new traffic manager, than one snapped while he was talking on the telephone. He’s on the phone a lot untangling our traffic problems. In the series of personnel changes brought about by the retirement of Mr. Walter V. Landeck, Bob has been named traffic manager. A resident of Hen dersonville, Bob has been with Ecusta since Septem ber 3, 1941. “Fun Frolics of ’48” To Be Shown April 16 & 23 After several weeks of inten sive preparations, the "Ecusta Fun Frolics of 1948” is almost ready to be unveiled. Five Year Service Club News BY Dick Landeck We have twenty-one employees who are eligible for Five Year Service Club membership in March. In accordance with our regular custom, we extend to them a warm and hearty welcome. John Gibson Pace Gladys Marie Wilson Lawson C. Carter Catherine Anders Barnard B. Conley The February issue of The Echo announced that the Five Year Service Club will sponsor a show. This comes to us as the best news yet. There is no doubt that it will be a huge success. Whether or not the Five Year Club sponsors the show means nothing in it self. The fact is that all of Ecusta is behind a project of this sort and that will be the secret of our show’s success. Our Recreation Director pointed out an important fact during one of our recent informal meetings. Talent could be brought in from outside the plant for this occasion but all the outside profes sional talent would not be worth the final results. We would much rather be surprised at the entertainment which can be offered by our own fellow employees. Some of us are quite natural in our efforts to entertain. With others it is perhaps hidden and must be brought to light through the help of a director, and some of us think we are rather topnotch entertainers, although we really shouldn’t even made the slightest attempt at it. At any rate, here is an opportunity to find yourself. If you think that you can sing, dance, act or do anything in the line of entertainment, please make it known at once to your nearest Five Year Club representative or to the Recreation Department and a try out appointment will be made for you. 4
