TWO HONORED ECUSTA MOTHER With Mother’s Day coming on Sunday, May 9, it’s appropriate in this month’s Echo to honor two mothers here at Ecusta who portray so out standingly the spirit of all the mothers who will be remembered on "their day.” Probably the oldest employee of Ecusta whose mother is still living is Frank Fisher of the Clean er Crew who is assigned to the TT building. Mr. Fisher will be 64 the 29th of May and his mother, Mrs. Etta Mae Fisher will be 86 on May 13, four days after Mother’s Day. Mrs. Fisher lives with her only daughter, Mrs. Harriett McCall ,in the Gloucester section. Moving to the section when she was a youngster of 12, Mrs. McCall has been living in the county for almost 75 years. Although she has been bedfast for the last few years, Mrs. Fisher is still in fairly good health and maintains a good outlook on life. She has nine living children—eight boys and one girl—Mr. Frank Fisher being the oldest of the children. As mentioned above, Mrs. McCall is the only daugh ter and the boys are Frank, Roland, Walter, Bill, Christopher, Jennings, Dudley, and Obie. All of them live in Transylvania County. Nine of Mrs. Fisher’s grandchildren are em ployed here. They are Monroe McCall, Inspec tion; Woodrow Fisher, Pulp Mill; Lawrence Fish er, Champagne Printing; Millie O’Dell, Betty Fisher, Lowee Hampton, Belva Fisher, Ruth Below: Mrs. Etta Mae Fisher and Son, Frank. Right: Mrs. R. E. Patton and Son, Frank.
