Visit From The Press Representing a larger area of the United States than perhaps any group which has ever visited here, 250 members of the National Editorial As sociation were luncheon guests here on May 14. From 35 states they came, saw and "were con quered by North Carolina,” as one member aptly put it. The visit here climaxed a week-long tour of our state. Prior to the tour, the convention ses sions were held at Pinehurst. Below, Mr. Harry H. Straus was caught in a picture typical of the informal, yet significant remarks he made in welcoming NEA mem bers. To the right, Mr. Alan Mc Intosh of Luverne, Minn, gives his response to Mr. Straus’ welcome. The Minnesotan’s talk was a high light of the luncheon. Never did a friendlier, more interesting group visit Ecusta. After a week of strenuous traveling, one would have expected the group to have shown signs of weariness, but not once was this evident. As all of us here at Ecusta know, a trip through our plant is no small undertaking, but the hardy visitors took it in full stride. All members of the NEA are receiving this copy of The Echo and through its medium, may we again convey Ecusta’s best wishes. We felt highly honored that you included Ecusta on your tour and welcome you back at any time. 4
