CHEMICAL LAB NEWS By Thelma Glazener The picnic' at Sapphire was great fun. The Chem Lab thanks all those responsible for a swell outing and a good time .... Ricie Robinson left June 26 for a week’s stay with her parents in Old Fort, N. C. . . . Bill Hunter spent the week end of June 19 with his father in Marshall, N. C. Jean Kuykendall was very excited about a bass she caught on a recent fishing trip. Jean says it really was a whopper and she added "made enough supper for two people.” . . . Lucy Clarke has been making a trip home almost every weekend to in spect the house that she is having built in Lavonia, Ga. . . . Buvee Parker is seen almost every place in her new Hudson, and we don’t blame her .... Paul Kellar and wife, Lois, have been ill; Paul is again back to work and, Lois, we hope you are soon recovered . . . .Dorothy Johnson attended the State Convention of Business and Professional women at Mayview Manor, Blowing Rock, N. C. June 18-20 .... The Analytical department had a picnic at Sapphire June 11th, had fun and ap preciated your help, Lewis . . Anna Meixell began her vacation June 12 and except for an occasional tour remained home. It isn’t in Europe alone that cigarettes are precious in the lives of addicts. A real estate man by the name of Tom Philips, at Fort Myers, Fla., swapped a piece of land in the residential section of that thriving town for 15 cartons of cigarettes. "I’ve got more lots than will-power,” he explained. After a close inspection, the four men above are in agreement that when a bobbin of finished cigarette paper leaves Ecusta it has under gone every possible test to insure topnotch quality.
