Never has better advice been passed along to
anyone and ’tis rather surprising how good ad
vice sometimes goes in one ear and out the other.
It is very true that numerous safety devices and
untold copies of accident prevention pamphlets
are at our finger tips for the asking, but far too
many of us disregard such things and actually
look upon them as necessary evils of the job.
There is no person on earth who should be
more interested in your personal welfare and
livelihood than you, yourself .... there is no
person on earth who can contribute as much tow
ard your staying accident-free, as YOU can ....
there is no person on earth who can possibly reap
greater dividends for having a scar-free body,
man you, yourself.
A good safety record, whether it be at home, at
work, or in the commumty, will always be de

If you have never heard a person scream and
moan when caught in moving machinery, then
just consider yourself very fortunate. Even on the
hottest day, such an experience will bring chills
and goose pimples to the average person, regard
less of their physical make-up.
At 10:30 a. m. on June 30th this year, such
screams and moans were heard at the Gate House
by several persons and seemed to be coming from
the Machine Room or Refining Room area.
A quick check-up revealed that no one was in
jured and it was impossible to find out who was
indulging in such horseplay.
Such things have occurred here in our plant on
several occasions, and these tactics are contrary to
all rules and regulations.

need help—Let’s not use them needlessly.
