In these excellent pictures, Dr. Ray has portrayed the spleitdid farm progress in the county. 'The pasture scene was taken on the farm of champion corn-grower Vreeman Nicholson in the Crab Creek neighborhood of Little River. Five years ago he had seven acres in corn, but now, with hybrid corn, he needs only tivo acres in corn and has five left for a fine pasture of Ladino Clover and Orchard Grass to feed his six cows. Left is daughter, Bobby Jane, ivith a prize six-months old Jersey calf and right is "two eight year olds”—the youngster and beautiful pine trees on Morris Hawkins’ farm being the same age. Lower left is typical farm scene in country. 29
