The Mills Ride
The Hills ....
Jim Mills bought his first motorcycle in the
Spring of 1935, just after his marriage. He be
came such an ardent fan that his wife started
riding "double” with him, and now has a ma
chine of her own. They have made a hobby of
riding.
They have made many trips together, the
longest being a vacation trip in 1947 to Miami,
Florida. On this trip they rode double and visited
many towns in Georgia and Florida.
In 1941 Jim made a solo trip through eleven
states, covering about 1600 miles. The unique
feature of this trip was the economical aspect—
gas cost, $7.06.
Jim says that he has had many spills since
