A WORTHWHILE PLEA Far too few of us stop to realize that prayers are being utter ed daily in our behalf, and there are some of us who are not doing our utmost to see that every possible assis tance is rendered to ward such prayers being fulfilled. There are few homes which have not ex perienced the tragedy which accompanies serious personal injury or sickness of the loved ones, and in many cases, such tragedy could have been avoided through CARE. Our own personal welfare and safety is some thing that each of us should he vitally interested in, and something that tue alone can contribute to, 7nore than anyone else on earth. Honestly, folks, the least we can do is to live, play and tvork the safe ti>ay. Broadcast what you know about safety. It’s not only the knowledge of safety but the practice that counts. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? If you were connected with the Safety and Medical Department, and vitally interested in the elimination of the useless suffering, discomfort, and loss of wages that accompanies personal in- . juries, ivhat would you do? I' Even though this is not a Quiz Program and * there are no cash awards offered for the correct * answer, this could easily be classified as the $64-00 question. In fact, your answer may be worth much more than that, in having the satis faction of knowing that you have assisted in the elimination of unnecessary personal injuries to yourself and your fellow-workers. The Safety Department has been and always will be, interested in receiving suggestions for preventing personal injuries. You employees know the hazards that exist in connection with your respective jobs, and it is your responsibility to notify us if we can be of help in any way. The Safety Department is set up to act in an advisory capacity in our accident prevention program, and the carrying out of safe practice rules and regu lations is really up to you and your supervisors. It is an established fact that an accident preven tion program, regardless of what person is at it’s helm, can never be successful without the full cooperation of every individual on the payroll.
