ON THE COVER
During the Summer months
Camp Transylvania is a whirlpool
of activity, with the Transylvania
Music Camp and the Brevard Mu
sic Festival. From the middle of
June through August the hills echo
the sounds of musical instruments,
orchestras, voices and choruses. But
at this time of year it is a place of
solitude. The only sound is that of
the falling snow and the wind in
the tall pines.
This winter scene of Camp
Transylvania was photographed by
Nat Townsend with an inexpen
sive box type camera.
