BOWLING TOURNAMENT HUGE SUCCESS There were loads of different winners in the recent Ecusta Departmental Bowling tournament, but Fritz Merrell of the Office Pirates was the little man with the mostest’. Out of six possible events, Fritz bowled himself into four winners. Topping his list of winners was a 665 high individual set, which included a 75 pin handi cap. This same score also placed him in top po sition in the singles division. The All-Events prize also went to the same gentleman with a total of 1812 pins. Teaming up with N. L. Ponder, Fritz squeezed under the wire to place ninth spot in the doubles event. In words that we are all familiar with we can say, 'a job well done’. Dick Landreth of the Maintenance 'Hawks’ crashed through as winner of the high single game of the tournament with a 279 which in cludes a handicap of 22 pins. Dick was nosed out of first place All-Event by a single pin. Other bowlers who placed in more than one event include Bruce Reynolds, Walter Green, Bill Millner, Waverly Morris and Ernie Burch.
