'Iftu and'^fiuu SIGNS THAT SAVE US! It is very gratifying to know that a great majority of our employees DO be lieve in signs, even though they are not superstitious. In fact, it is to our ad vantage that we do obey all signs which call our attention to any unsafe practice or hazardous condition. It is a known fact that numerous fires are caused by some thoughtless person smoking in a NO SMOKING area, and that too many personal injuries result from safety signs being disregarded. In industry today, management is doing everything possible to keep us posted on hazardous conditions, as well as any un- 3 safe practice that could possibly cause personal in- “ jury. Surely the least we could do is to READ and ° Heed the caution signs that are for our protection. , ^ Throughout our State today, it is alarming to t ' note the number of motor vehicle operators who s disregard the STOP signs at road intersections and railroad crossings, and the fatalities that result daily 3 from this very unsafe practice, s We must remember that time and money are s involved in an effort to keep us posted about haz ardous conditions, and that regardless of the loca- ^ tion of a caution sign on the highway or in our y plant, it has been put there to help us remain "acci dent-free.” P / FAy ^INDINrS. \ ROAD y I>lAMOWD-SHAPED YELLOW SIGNS LIKE THESE MEAM THAT THERE IS SOME- TWIK6 AHEAD FOR WEj SrtOULD SLOW DOW/4- SOME |4AVE words OR MARKS To SUOW WE, ^fAUST 15RIVE SLOWLY. 2) Square yellow signs cautiom us to watcH for SOMET^^lMG AMEAD SOMET^^kWe FOR WMlCM MORE CAREFUL DRWING IS REQUIRED .
