Camp Sapphire will officially open Saturday, May 28th. Ac tivities will begin at 1:30 P. M. with a concert by the Ecusta Band followed by a double- header baseball game at 2:00 P. M. between the Ecusta and Clearwater teams of the West ern North Carolina Industrial League. The lake will be open for fishing and swimming all day. Concluding the activities will be a square dance at 8:30 P. M. in the gymnasium for em ployees and their wives or hus bands. The camp is operated by the company for the employees and their families. Friends of em ployees may enjoy the many recreational facilities and enter tainments if they are accom panied by employees. This year, as in the past, a varied program is offered. The girl’s Choral and Recreation School and Band School will open on Monday, June 13 th and will run for four weeks, closing on Saturday, July 9th.
