FRIENDS VISIT ECUSTA Among recent visitors to Ecusta were Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Berger of Johannesburg, Union of ^outh Africa. The Bergers, shown here with M. Leonard Bauer, are vacationing in the United States and Canada. Below is General Lucius D. Clay, at left, and Mr. John Hanes. They were taken on a tour of the plant on June l4th by Harry H. Straus, Jr. and Roger King. General Clay, until recently, served in charge of civil affairs in Germany. Mr. Hanes, Director of Ecusta Paper Corporation is from Winston-Salem. On the facing page, at top, are shown three members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in the Philippine Islands and members of the Ashe ville and Brevard clubs. Below, right, is Mr. Henry Fillmore, retired Band Director and Composer, of Miami, Fla. Mr. Fillmore took charge of the rehearsals during the second day of his visit, and he highly compli mented the work of the band.
