ECUSTA MAINTAINS FOURTH PLACE Continued from page 19 teams each have a two win and ten loss record. The league contests show promise of keener competition during the remainder of the season, as the schedule was rearranged this year in order to have a post season play-off of the four top teams at the end of the season. Two double-headers were scheduled for each team this season, so that the league’s scheduled play would be completed on Saturday, August 20. The team winning the most games during the season will be declared the League’s champion. The four teams holding the top four places in the league standings at the end of the season will hold a post season play-off. The first and fourth place teams will play each other and the second and third place teams will meet in a one game elimina tion affair. The winners of the first round will then play a best two out of three series for the play-off championship. INDUSTRIAL ALL-STAR GAME SET FOR SUNDAY, JULY 31st McCormick field in Asheville will again be the site for the annual WNC Industrial League All- Star game. Final arrangements were made to play the game at 3:00 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, July 31st. Team standings as of July l6th will be official. The All-Star managers will be se lected from the first and third place teams of the same standings. Each All-Star team will be com posed of sixteen players, or four players from each team to be chosen on the meeting night of July 18th. Team managers will select the players most suitable to form the strongest combination for each aggregation. The Machine Room has a record of four wins and one loss while the Champagne team has three wins and one loss, as of Friday, June 17th. Milt Pace definitely was the star of the month.
