COACHING SCHOOL TO BEGIN JULY lUh Approximately one hundred youngsters will gather at Camp Sapphire on Monday, July 11th, to inaugurate the Third Annual Coaching School for young Ecusta children between the ages of seven and fourteen. The Coaching School will operate in practically the same manner as in past years with only a few changes noted in the staff personnel. Classes will again be conducted in age groups with competi tion between boys of the same ages. Funda mentals of boxing, baseball, softball, tennis, shuf- fleboard, wrestling, and other sports are scheduled. Special emphasis will be placed on swimming and water safety. This schedule will be followed on each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for six weeks, or until Friday, August 19th. Classes will be conducted from 9:30 to 12:00 noon on each of the above mornings. Boys attending the school should reach home by 1:00 P. M. on each of the class days. It is suggested that each boy wear, or bring, a pair of swimming trunks, a pair of tennis shoes or sneakers, a "T” shirt, or some play blouse, and a towel. Proper play equipment will be furnished by the Camp. Transportation facilities offered will be the same as in 1947. A bus schedule is reprinted for your convenience. Since no pre-camp enrollment is necessary, the Camp staff will be waiting and looking forward to seeing you on opening day. 23
