T J. OP: The snow-white pulp is moved from storage and placed between the beaters. An electric hoist lifts the large boxes and dumps the 3000 pounds of pulp into each beater where the fibres are hydrated and shortened. Below: The fibres are mixed with pure water and circu lated in the individual beat ers. Here the fibres pass be tween a heavy roll and a bed plate.
