MARY SUE JENNINGS WET STRENGTH TEST To ascertain that the paper will not disintergrate when moistened. MARY SHYTLE OPACITY TEST To determine the degree of whiteness and opaqueness. BLANCHE JONES BURSTING STRENGTH TEST To determine the strength and durability of fine papers. Another test made in the Physical Laboratory is the BURNING TEST. Cigarette paper must burn at the same rate as tobacco.
