The modern cafeteria, with a seating capacity of nearly 400, provides warm and well-prepared food, below cost, to all persons in the mill. The same warm food as served in the Cafeteria is served to those on the job who cannot leave their work. Hot coffee and cold drinks are served at regular intervals during the second and third shifts. The Cafeteria operates a canteen where quick service is available the greater part of 24 hours a day. Aside from being a place to enjoy warm and wholesome food, the Cafeteria is the social center of Ecusta. A greater part of the entertainment available to employees takes place here—free movies, bingo parties, square dances, Holiday celebrations and other various programs. 57
