Straus, Jr. was guest speaker at the Annual Ladies Night of the Western North Caro lina Traffic Club on Tuesday night, January 31st. He traced the growth of industry in this area and the parallel growth of transportation facilities., as well as the future prospects for industrialization. In his talk, he emphasized the large supply of in telligent labor, mild climate, abundant supply of pure water and mineral resources as inducements for industries to locate here. The Ecusta Square Dance Team performed for members of the club and their wives. Bob Johnson is president of the club, and Leonard Bauer is a member of the Board of Di rectors. 15
