THE GOOD OLD DAYS At top is shown an old ruby mine near Frank lin, N. C. Below is the old method of hauling logs to the saw mills. This was before the days of logging trucks when most all hauling was done with ox teams. The log on this wagon contained 1300 feet of curly poplar lumber which was valued at $80.00. The same amount of curly poplar today would cost approximately $350.00.
