Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth White were married on Feb ruary 6th in Statesville at the home of the groom’s sister. Mrs. White is the former Regina Ruth Lindley, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lindley (Main Office). The groom is in the U. S. Navy, stationed at Norfolk, Vir ginia, where the couple is residing. LOOK WHO'S HERE! Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barton (Cafeteria) have announced the birth of Barbara Lee Barton at Transylvania Community Hospital on January 25th. The young lady weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. Brenda Jean Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Wilson (Machine Room), arrived at the local hospital on February 3rd weighing 5 lbs. 7 oz. It’s a boy for the Roy O. Reece’s (Maintenance Dept.). Jerry Lee Reece was born on February 12th at the Transylvania Community Hospital. He weighed 81/^ lbs. Garnett Wayne Buckner arrived on February I4th at Patton Memorial Hospital, Henderson ville. The youngster weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett H. Buckner (Beater Room Control). From Endless Belt we learn that the Alvin Y. Blythe s are the proud parents of Mattie Jean Blythe, who was born at the local hospital on February 20th weighing 9 lbs. 6 oz. A son, Randall Lee Lyday, was born on Febru ary 23rd to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lyday (Cham pagne-Gumming). The young man weighed 7 lbs. and was born at the home. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Straus, Jr. have announced the arrival of a son on February 25th. Harry III was born at Norburn Hospital, Asheville, and weighed 9 lbs. Teacher; The monkey walked down the street. Pupil: Whatsa monkey? Teacher; You mean to sit there and look me in the face and tell me that you don’t know what a monkey is? These scientist are the queerest people!
