VISITS ECU STA The American Red Cross Bloodmobile came to the Cafeteria on the afternoon of April 4th to obtain blood from employees who wished to assist in the National program. The goal of this program is to provide blood and blood deriva tives for medical use without charge for this area who may need them. The quota for the Asheville area is 15,000 pints. Sixty-five employees volunteered blood and fifty-four pints were taken. This blood was tak en to Asheville, checked and typed, and some was returned to the Transylvania Community Hos pital, so that a fresh supply will be available. Local volunteer workers who assisted techni cians of the Bloodmobile were: Mrs. Arthur Loeb, Mrs. William Wallis, Mrs. E. B. Garrett, Jr., Mrs. F. S. Best, Mrs. Lehman Kapp, Mrs. R. E. Matthews, Mrs. James Smith, Mrs. Charles Norlander, Mrs. Doyle Wells, Mrs. Walter Sin- iard, Mrs. R. M. Levy, Mrs. W. F, Short, Mrs. Cheatum Nelson, Mrs. E. O. Bryant and Mrs. M. B. Newell.
