Both teams finished the season with a record of 56 games won and 52 games lost, for the 108 games played. The Pisgah Motor Court team won the 1949- 50 championship of the League, with a record of 68 games won while losing 40. We are proud to note that four Ecusta men are members of the champion team: Chris Rogers, Tom Conley, Bruce Reynolds and James Avery. Ralph "Knuckleball” Morris finished the sea son with the highest individual average on the Ecusta team, which was an average of 184.79 pins per game for 90 games bowled. John Emory was second with a 180.48 pin average for 102 games bowled. Averages for the other members of the team are as follows: Walter Straus 176.45 for 90 games, Charlie Colwell 176.29 for 90 games, Clyde Galloway 176.5 for 93 games bowled, Lewis Meece 171.20 for 66 games bowled and Joe Lavell 160 for 9 games bowled. We are proud of the showing our team made this season in spite of the fact that they had no home alleys to practice on, having to get in their practice sessions before the League con tests on the Asheville and Enka alleys.
