I will be glad to give you my best answer to your inevitable question—"Can I Get a Patent?” Here is where I came in—so long, and keep inventing. ECUSTA IN WIN COLUMN Continued from page 18 game, and being a victim of circumstances, was credited with the loss as the Sayles team pushed across the winning tally in the bottom of the eleventh inning. In climaxing the period of six games played on Tuesday, June 13th, Grover Suttles pitched two hit ball in leading his teammates to a 9 to 1 victory over the league’s leading Berkeley nine. Our boys banged out eleven hits off two Berkeley pitchers. Roy Head and Joe Whitaker each hit a triple. Roy’s came in the first inning with the bases loaded. Head, Whitaker, Drake, Sams and Merrell, with two hits each, and Carland with one, accounted for Ecusta’s eleven hits. Our team has shown much improvement in the past four weeks and its progress from now on should be well worth watching. So if you haven’t been attending these games, you are urged to go out and support our team.
