A recent decision by the Company to allow
the Safety Department to stock these shoes,
will mean much to our personnel from the
standpoint of SAFETY, as well as making it
possible for them to purchase well built foot
wear in an OXFORD or SHOE, at a much
lower price than they can be purchased else
where.
These safety shoes will be handled in the
office of the Safety Department, and will be
sold on a cash or payroll deduction basis. For
those who desire the cost of shoes to be de
ducted from their earnings, arrangements have
been made for this deduction to be made over
a period of two weeks.
Based on the order that was placed the first
week in August, and which is expected to ar
rive by September 1st, the prices of these four
styles of shoes, including the freight and state
tax, will range from approximately $6.30 to
$7.25 per pair. It must be remembered that
the price of safety shoes, like all other com
modities is subject to change, but they will
always be sold to our personnel at absolute cost.
There will be no charge for handling, fitting
or payroll deduction work involved.
