DOWN THE ALLEY WITH GUTTER GUS Gutter Gus would like to congratulate our Ecusta bowlers for the fine showing they made in the recent WNC Bowling Tournament; for re sults read the adjoining article. Our bowling season is nearly over and it looks like the Papermakers will cop the championship. However, as for determining the winners of sec ond, third and fourth place honors of the league remain to be seen with the Pirates, Maintenance and Storeroom teams, each fighting to outdo the other. We’ll give you the results of this next month and also the winners of the different individual honors for the season. Our annual post season tournament will be held during the first two weeks of March, and we also hope to have these results complete for the March Echo. Gutter Gus would like to urge every eligible bowler to enter this tournament. FELIX WEESE WINS ALL-EVENTS HONORS, JIM BRADLEY SECOND AS ECUSTANS STAR IN W.N.C. TOURNAMENT Felix Weese of the Storeroom Bowling team placed in every event of the 15 th Annual West ern North Carolina Bowling Tournament, and finished with the highest individual total number of 1943 pins to capture the all events award. Felix’s teammate, Jim Bradley, finished second in the all event with a total of 1867 pins. The tournament was held during the last two weeks of January on the Biltmore Plaza Bowling Alleys at Biltmore, N. C. With a total of thirty- six prizes to compete for, 16 of these were won by our Ecusta bowlers; congratulations fellows. In the Team Event, our Champagne team won third place honors and the Storeroom team won fifth place.
