Golden Retriever—One of the more popular of the retriever breeds, the golden retrievers are hunting specialists. Their job in the field is that of finding game which has been killed or wounded ty the hunter and returning that game to their masters. The most common use of retrievers is in the hunting of waterfowl. In this type of sport the re trievers remain in the shooting blind until birds are killed, when they are ordered after the downed game.
