ANNUAL BASEBALL BANQUET.. The 1952 Ecusta Baseball Banquet, held Satur day night, November 15 at the Ecusta Cafeteria, was declared a rousing success by the approxi mately eighty-five who attended. Following a delicious Turkey dinner, the Toast master, Frit2 Merrell, introduced the special guests. This was followed by the presentation of the Harry H. Straus Memorial Trophy to Mr. L. F. Dixon; the presentation of the Series Play-off Trophy by Mr. E. L. Lynn; the presentation of Individual Awards by Mr. E. B. Garrett, Jr.; and an informal discussion panel, emceed by Mai Mahtt, and featuring three other Major League League Baseball stars, Bill Miller, Don Thompson and Gil Coan. Climaxing the evening’s program was Walter Glass’ showing of several of his color movies. The movie program consisted of the 1952 Cotton Bov/1 game between Oklahoma and Texas and several humorous short subjects. Top Photo: Individual awards went to the league’s batting champoins.
