Miss Ethel Lucille Merrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis C. Merrill of Penrose, N. C. and Edward H. Zellman of Umatilla, Florida, son of Mrs. Rosa Zellman and the late Edward A. Zellman of Uma tilla, IVere married November 29, J932 at the Little River Baptist Church. The Reverend John T. Neal performed the ceremony. Mrs. Zellman is a former employee of the Endless Belt Depart ment. The couple xvill reside in Umatilla, Fla. OFFICE BITS By Alex Duris "Peace on Earth,” — and the fighting goes on in Ko rea! How long, oh, how long will it be before men can re solve their differences and learn to live at peace, one with the other? There will be little peace at this Holy Day celebration in the world, but aside from those who have loved ones at the front, most Americans will be able to enjoy peaceful holidays. Once again, the American people owe a tremendous debt to those who are on the world fronts keep ing the flame of liberty alive, so that freedom will not perish from the earth. Would it not be wonderful, if we could carry over the good will exhibited towards one’s fellow men during the holiday season, on and on, through out the entire year? We were very sorry to learn of Betty Perkin’s misfortune and illness. We hope that you will be able to recover soon, and that you will be back with us before too long. Alice Garren enjoyed a restful vacation recent ly—mostly puttering around and relaxing. Tom Smith took a "quickie” trip to St. Peters Miss Juanita Albertson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay C. Albertson of Brevard was rec^nny gradu ated from Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing, Greenville, S. C. In June 1932 she was elected to represent her school at the 1932 Bi ennial Nurses Convention in Atlantic City, N. J. She is at present a member of the staff at the Greenville General Hospital. Her father is em ployed in the Finishing Department (Paper Div.) burg, Florida. They say that Tom was worried about his favorite green bench down there and also wanted to check up on the orange crop. Katherine Siniard was another of the girls who enjoyed a quiet and restful vacation. Hazel Reese has bid farewell to the Files Sec tion. Hazel has decided that being a housewife has certain advantages. \)0^e wish you tne best of luck. E. B. Garrett, Jr., enjoyed an early December vacation at Winter Haven, Florida, in the heart of the citrus and lake region of the Sunshine State. It’s really one of the prettiest spots in the state. Dot Capps, of the machine records department, vacationed in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia and at home. They tell me that Dot can swing con crete blocks around with the greatest of ease, as she acted as a mason’s helper to her husband. If you have any concrcte block work to be done, call the Machine Records Department for rates. Marie Rickman spent her vacation in Hender sonville, where she enjoyed puttering around her new home. The boys on Wall Street are babes in the woods compared to Charley Cook, Carl Stevens, and "Chigger” Reese, as they w.-.tch the spinning coin which decides who is to pay for the ice cream!
