Trying for those elusive pins;
Looks so easy at first glance
Here’s a pointer, watch that stance.
Easy stride, or lots of stuff.
It’s up to you, the pins don’t bluff;
Ease it down, or really sock it—
The ideal spot the head pin pocket.
Throw it straight, curved, or hooked
Doesn’t matter, we all get rooked.
Blood carries the necessities of life: oxygen,
water, and food; feeds these to the cells; picks up
waste products for removal from the body; dis
tributes heat produced by the working muscles;
regulates body temperature; guards against dis
ease; carries harmones, vitamin, enzymes, and min
erals where needed.
Don’t get sore and quit the game—
It happens to others—just the same.
Stick it out—try once more
What’s the use of getting sore.
Get a double, get a turkey.
Don’t get tense, scared or jerky
Get a run, then blow a spare
Hear that kidding—is it fair?
Though luck ran good or luck ran bad
Remember all the fun we had.
The statue of George Washington by Canova
was destroyed when the State House was burned
in 1831. It was the finest example of classic art
in America. The statue was of pure white Carrara
marble and represented Washington as a Roman
Consul, dressed in the toga of the Romans, and
with bare legs and sandals.
