TOURNAMENT RESULTS
PONDER, PATTERSON, LANNING, AND
REYNOLDS STAR
HILLBILLIES WIN TEAM EVENT
N. L. Ponder, of the Pirates placed in all four
events of Ecusta’s Annual Bowling tournament to
be the top individual prize winner for 1953. Pon
der captured the first place prizes in the Singles
and All Events competition, and placed seventh
in the Doubles, while his team finished third in
the Team Event.
Paul Patterson and Linton Lanning of the Cello-
Mecks teamed together to take first place in the
Doubles Events.
Bruce Reynolds was the second highest indi
vidual winner. Although his Transportation team
failed to place in the Team Event, Bruce teamed
with Hunley Mehaffey to place second in the
Doubles Event. He took third place honors in the
Singles and second place honors in the All Events.
The Hillbillies captured first place in the Team
Event surpassing their nearest competitor by a
margin of one hundred and fourteen pins.
